Weatherford – One injured in A Car Accident on Farm to Market 51 Road

At least one was hospitalized after getting into a car accident on Farm to Market 51 Road near Veal Station Road, last March 6.
According to initial reports, 1996 Ford Ranger pickup truck was heading south on FM 51 when, for yet unknown reasons, it failed to negotiate a curve and drifted off the west side of the road. When the driver tried to overcorrect, the pickup went sideways, across the southbound lanes, and to the northbound lanes. It was then struck by a 2013 Peterbilt truck tractor towing a flatbed trailer that was heading north.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained serious injuries from the collision. He was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth for treatment. His condition was not publicly disclosed. Fortunately, the driver of the Peterbilt was not hurt.
Local authorities were requested at the scene to determine what caused the driver to went off the road.
