Law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about a vehicle accident on Farm to Market Road 2621 in Washington County.
A preliminary investigation indicates that an eastbound 2006 Chevrolet Equinox was seen along FM 2621 when, for yet unknown reasons, it went off the roadway, rolled over a number of times after striking a fence. Police said that the driver of the Chevrolet lost control of the car after approaching a curve eight miles north of Brenham. The force of the impact ejected two occupants from the SUV–an infant and a 3-year-old boy.
Emergency crews transported the infant to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston. Unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries he sustained from the crash. Meanwhile, the boy was immediately taken to CHI St. Joseph Health Hospital in Bryan where he was listed in serious condition. No identifications have been released at this time.
DPS is still investigating this accident.
