Waller County – Teen Killed in Buller Road Crash ID’d

The Royal ISD student who died following a hit-and-run crash on Buller Road in Waller County has been identified by local officials.

The victim was named as Victor Carbajal, 16.

Based on the initial investigation, Victor Carbajal was riding his bicycle along Buller Road near Zadelsky Road when a passing 2000 Chrysler Voyager struck him. The impact of the collision left the teen bicyclist with significant injuries. He was pronounced deceased when emergency crews arrived at the scene.

No one else was injured, as per reports.

The Chrysler driver fled the scene following the incident. He was later located and identified as 31-year-old Daniel Griffin of Brookshire. Police said he is facing charges for failure to stop and render aid at an accident resulting in death.
