Walker County – Three Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 45

Walker County law enforcement officials are conducting an investigation about a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 45.
Last Thursday, DPS troopers were dispatched to I-45 near Madisonville following reports of a crash involving a truck. According to the report, an 18-wheeler truck crashed into two cars that were stalled in the southbound lanes of the highway. The impact was so great, leaving three occupants heavily injured. A woman and an infant sustained serious injuries and were transported to Memorial Hermann Downtown where they were listed in an unknown condition. Police said the woman was in his late 20s. Another man, identified only as a 34-year-old male occupant, was also hospitalized with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
Police have yet to determine the reason that caused the accident. An investigation is underway.
