Waco – Rear-End Crash on Highway 6 Leaves 4 Hurt

A car accident involving a police vehicle resulted in injuries on Highway 6, Saturday.

Preliminary investigation shows that a deputy officer was assisting a two-car accident along Hwy 6 when a passing white Dodge Charger struck the rear side of the officer’s vehicle. The driver of the Dodge was hurt as a result of the crash. His three passengers also sustained injuries but their condition was not determined. All victims were rushed to a local hospital where they were given proper treatment.

No identification was released at this time. The trooper who was assisting the previous accident was not injured.

Waco police arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing. They have yet to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident.

An investigation is underway.
