Waco – Motorcyclist Killed on Valley Mills Drive ID’d

The Waco Police Department has released the name of the motorcyclist who died in a fatal vehicle accident on Valley Mills Drive, Tuesday night.
The fatality was identified as 19-year-old Nelson Llano Jr., of Waco.
At around 10:30 p.m., Nelson Llano was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle along the northbound lanes of Valley Mills Drive when it collided with Dodge Durango that was pulling out of a parking lot. The impact of the collision killed Llano instantly. He was pronounced dead by responding officers.
The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries from the force of the impact. His identification has not been publicly disclosed.
Local investigators were requested at the scene to help determine the cause of the accident. Based on a preliminary investigation, they believed that speed may have played a factor in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
