Waco – Man Killed in North 33rd Street Identified

The teen driver who died following a fatal single-car crash on North 33rd Street in Waco has been named by local officials, according to a local news source.

Last December 27th, police received a call reporting a car accident on N 33rd St near Maple Ave. A sport utility vehicle was seen traveling along the roadway when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it went out of control, left the road, and crashed into a tree.

The driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency crews. He has since been identified as 17-year-old Mauricio Rios.

No other casualties, as per reports.

Waco police are still determining the reason why Rios lost control of the vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
