Waco – 63-year-old Thomas Schultz Died in Fiery Crash on Interstate 35

Waco law enforcement officials have released the name of the victim who died in a fatal truck collision on Interstate 35 last Tuesday.
According to reports, the fatality was identified as Thomas Schultz, 63. He is a resident of Hutchins.
Schultz was seen driving a Freightliner semi-trailer along I-35 under the Sun Valley Boulevard bridge at around 4:15 a.m. As he approaches mile marker 328, he lost control of the vehicle, veered off the roadway which caused the truck to roll over. The impact of the crash sent the cab in flames. Schultz sustained life-threatening injuries as a result. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
No other casualties were reported.
Area investigators were also requested at the scene to determine the reason that caused Schultz to leave the roadway.
