Victoria – Vehicle versus Bull on US 59, Kills Passenger

A tragic auto crash on US 59 caused the death of a boy, Saturday night, according to a local news source.
At around 9:30 p.m., emergency crews were called onto Highway 59 to assist in a vehicle crash involving a 2012 Toyota Yaris. Based on a preliminary investigation, the Yaris was heading north on the highway when it crashed into a stray black bull after coming off the bridge near the right lane. The crash left the vehicle with severe damages and injuries to both the driver and his passenger.
The driver, identified as 31- year- old John Michael Jacobs of Victoria, was seriously injured and was rushed to Brooke Army Military Medical Center for treatment. His condition remains unknown at this time. Meanwhile, his passenger, identified only as a 12-year-old boy was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace, MaryAnn Rivera.
Both occupants were wearing seat belts, as per responding officers.
