Victoria – Robert Ramirez Injured Following US 59 Crash

A Thursday morning crash injured a Victoria man on US 59 after his vehicle overturned south Victoria frontage road, according to a local news source.
Police said that the collision took place along the westbound lanes of U.S. 59 frontage road. A silver 2015 Isuzu was traveling along the highway when, for yet undetermined reasons, it rear-ended a tractor-trailer that was making a turn into Beasley Tire, 4011 U.S. 59. The force of the impact was so great which prompted the vehicle to overturn and land on its side.
The Isuzu driver, identified as 31-year-old Robert Ramirez sustained minor injuries from the collision. He was taken to Citizens Medical Center and remains in stable condition. Fortunately, the tractor-trailer driver was not hurt. He was identified as Gonzalo Cervantes, 58.
Ramirez was cited for failure to control speed, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
