Vehicle flees the scene after fatally striking pedestrian on the South Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle fled the scene of a crash after fatally striking a pedestrian on the South Freeway on Sunday night, per a press release from the Houston Police Department.
The victim, an unidentified 24-year-old male, was walking near 12100 South Freeway he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make and model. The driver fled the scene of the crash without stopping. The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital where they were declared dead. The incident occurred around 11:05 p.m.
