Vehicle fire shuts down traffic on I-69 in downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Major delays were reported following an early afternoon vehicle fire in downtown Houston on Wednesday.
According to Total Traffic Houston, the fire was reported at about 1:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-69, near the I-45 interchange.

The cause of the fire is not mentioned in the report. However, no injuries have been reported as an immediate result.
Significant delays were reported in the area while crews worked to extinguish the blaze. Traffic began to flow again by 1:45 p.m.
