Upton County – Man Died in FM 1788 Collision ID’d

The Texas Department of Public Safety has released the name of the man who was killed after getting involved in a car accident on Farm to Market Road 1788, Tuesday.

Police said a truck that was hauling a semi-trailer was traveling along FM 1788 when its driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle and crossed over a concrete barrier. The truck then rolled over and came to rest on its side. The impact of the crash seriously injured the driver of the vehicle who later succumbed to his injuries at the scene. He was then identified as 34-year-old Michael Davis by emergency crews.

No other injuries were reported.

Based on the initial investigation, Davis was reportedly traveling at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
