UPDATE: Woman killed after crashing into tree near S Braeswood Blvd

HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, a woman was killed after crashing into a tree near South Braeswood Boulevard on the evening of Saturday, February 27.
The victim, identified only as a 66-year-old woman, was driving a black Toyota Corolla near 4697 South Braeswood Boulevard when her car suddenly left the roadway and slammed into a nearby tree. Emergency responders transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was declared dead.
Authorities believe the woman may have suffered a medical emergency before the accident.
