UPDATE: Victims in Spring Cypress car-building crash identified

SPRING, TX – The victims in the car-building collision in Spring have been identified, per a press release from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the press release, the driver of a 2005 orange Dodge Neon, William Landwert, was driving on Spring Cypress Road when he attempted to pass a vehicle on the road. While doing so, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a nearby ditch. His car then hit a culvert, becoming airborne until he hit a building located at 4231 Spring Cypress Road.
Landwert was killed upon impact as was Joshua Brewer, a passenger in his vehicle. Another passenger, George Bertus, suffered critical injuries and was LifeFlighted to an area hospital. A woman was inside the building at the time of the crash but she suffered minor injuries.
