UPDATE: Suspect identified in fatal drunk driving accident that killed young boy

HOUSTON, TX – A suspect has been identified in the fatal drunk driving accident that killed a young boy on Sunday morning, the Houston Police Department reports.
According to the HPD, 26-year-old Sebastian Matta was driving a BMW 545i sedan near 5900 Southwest Freeway when he struck a nearby Nissan Sentra. After the initial collision, the Nissan flipped over several times. Matta attempted to flee the scene of the crash but was caught by authorities.
The driver of the Nissan, the victim’s father, sustained minor injuries. Unfortunately, his 5-year-old son was declared dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Matta was intoxicated at the time of the wreck and has since been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
