UPDATE: Suspect arrested in fatal drunk driving crash on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A suspect has been arrested in the fatal drunk driving crash that took the life of one person on the Gulf Freeway on the night of Friday, August 7, according to the Houston Police Department.
Authorities say 43-year-old Armando Vargas was driving a black Chevrolet 1500 Sierra pickup truck when he hit a white Nissan Altima driven by the unidentified victim. The Nissan then veered across several lanes and was then struck by a blue Chevrolet Cruz.
The victim was killed upon impact, while Vargas was determined to be intoxicated at the time of the accident. He has since been charged.
