UPDATE: Pedestrian dies in fatal collision on Galveston Road

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian died in a fatal collision on Galveston Road on Thursday morning, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department.
The victim was reportedly struck by a passing vehicle while walking near 10600 Galveston Road around 4:10 a.m. in the morning. The driver of the car involved immediately stopped and administered CPR to the victim, who was eventually declared dead at the scene.
The driver consented to a blood draw and was determined not to be intoxicated at the time of the wreck. An investigation into the incident remains open.
