UPDATE: One killed, one in critical condition following single-vehicle accident on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – One person was killed and another is in critical condition following the single-vehicle accident that took place on the Gulf Freeway on the morning of Saturday, March 20.
According to a press release from the Houston Police Department, the victim, a 47-year-old man, was traveling northbound near Sauer Street around 4:55 p.m. He was driving the wrong way and failed to notice a nearby ‘Do Not Enter’ sign.
Eventually, the driver hit a concrete wall along the highway. He was declared dead at the scene while a female passenger was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The incident remains under investigation.
