UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies in crash on the Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist died in the crash that took place on the Gulf Freeway on Saturday afternoon, per the Houston Police Department.
Authorities say a 48-year-old male motorcyclist was riding near 13614 Gulf Freeway when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a wall on the side of the highway. He was rushed to the hospital where he was officially declared deceased.
The investigation into the fatal crash remains open.
