HOUSTON, TX – The man killed at an underground car meet in northwest Harris County on Sunday night has been identified, ABC 13 reports.
35-year-old Roger Glover—who had flown in from Maple Shade, New Jersey for the weekend—wanted to stop and watch the car meet along US 290. He was a car aficionado and wanted to see how cars in the south compared to the cars in the north.
During the car meet, a yellow Camaro performing a 100 mph “flyby” crashed into a black Chevrolet Malibu, which then hit Glover and two others. Glover was declared dead at the scene of the crash. A 16-year-old died shortly after at the hospital, authorities say. On Tuesday, it was confirmed that a 14-year-old had also died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The man driving the yellow Camaro, 22-year-old Andrew Mock, has been charged with two counts of second-degree felony manslaughter and second-degree felony assault and serious bodily injury.
