UPDATE: Man arrested in major crash on South Braeswood

HOUSTON, TX – A man has been arrested in the major crash that took place on South Braeswood on Tuesday morning, according to the officers at the Houston Police Department.
UPDATE: The suspect driver, Forrest Burgess, 25, is now charged with aggravated assault of a family member and felon in possession of a weapon.

A press briefing from Assistant Chief Ben Tien indicated that the driver of the vehicle was speeding at around 100 miles per hour. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver eventually crashed into a tree near 5000 South Braeswood.
The driver, 25-year-old Forrest Burgess, has since been charged with aggravated assault of a family member and felon in possession of a weapon. His children were reported not to be in car seats at the time of the crash.
All three individuals remain hospitalized.
