UPDATE: HPD issues press release on fatal wreck on Genoa Red Bluff Road

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department has issued a press release regarding yesterday’s fatal wreck on Genoa Red Bluff Road.
Authorities say a 19-year-old male was driving a black Chevrolet Tahoe near 2500 Genoa Red Bluff when he lost control of his car, for unknown reasons around 4:30 p.m.. He struck a median in the middle of the road and drove into the opposite lane of traffic, hitting a Ford Mustang and a Mercedes GLS450.
The victim was thrown from his car and died at the scene. The driver of the Mustang, a 61-year-old man, was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the Mercedes, a 61-year-old woman, was treated at the scene of the crash.
