UPDATE: HPD issues press release on fatal South State Highway 6 hit-and-run

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department released a statement on the fatal South Highway 6 hit-and-run that was reported on the morning of Tuesday, September 8.
A 21-year-old male victim was attempting to cross 1900 South State Highway 6 when he was struck by two passing vehicles. Witnesses reported that the two drivers may have been racing each other. Both vehicles fled the scene of the accident.
Authorities have identified the cars involved as a Toyota Highlander and a sedan. If you have information about the crash, contact the HPD Vehicular Crimes Unit at 713-247-4072.
