UPDATE: HPD issues press release on fatal pedestrian crash on State Highway 6

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department issued a press release on the fatal pedestrian crash that took place on State Highway 6 on Wednesday, January 20.
According to the press release, the victim was attempting to cross near 700 South State Highway 6 and was struck by a passing silver Ford Escape. Emergency responders declared the man dead at the scene.
The driver of the car involved, an unidentified woman, told authorities she did not see the man until the last minute. She was determined to not be intoxicated at the time of the crash and has not been charged.
