UPDATE: HPD issues press release on fatal multi-vehicle wreck on the Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – The team at the Houston Police Department has issued a press release regarding the fatal multi-vehicle wreck that took place on the Katy Freeway early Sunday morning.
A 32-year-old man was driving a black Mercedes Benz C Class near 17700 Katy Freeway around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle was involved in a collision and became stalled in the freeway’s main lanes. A grey Infiniti QX60 then hit the back of the Mercedes, throwing the 32-year-old driver out of the car.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the Infiniti and passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
