UPDATE: HPD identifies driver in deadly police chase accident as 14-year-old boy

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police have identified the driver in the deadly police chase accident that took place on Tuesday, September 15 as a 14-year-old boy, according to the team at KHOU 11.

Authorities ran the license plate on the boy’s vehicle and noticed that the car was stolen. The driver refused to stop for authorities, driving on Hollister from Highway 290. He eventually crashed into a culvert and was declared dead at the scene.

Two female passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. One was thrown from the car during the wreck.
