HOUSTON, TX – A driver in Sunday’s deadly Beaumont Highway crash is facing a drunk driving charge, according to ABC 13 Houston.

A vehicle was heading east on the Beaumount Highway when it lost control and spun into the eastbound lanes around 5:30 p.m. A red pickup truck then crashed into the vehicle, killing the two people inside the first vehicle.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to the hospital after the crash. He was then determined to be intoxicated and has since been charged with a DWI. While authorities do not believe he caused the crash, he still will be charged.
