HOUSTON, TX – The cyclist killed in a tragic hit-and-run collision in southwest Houston has been identified, ABC 13 reports.
Authorities say a group of bicyclists was cycling on North Braeswood Boulevard and a West Loop 610 feeder road around 5:30 a.m. when a car struck Randy Washington, who was riding in front of the group. A longtime friend said Washington was trying to increase his stamina in order to compete in more bicycling races in the future.
Authorities are requesting the public’s help finding the driver responsible for Washington’s death. They believe the car has significant front-end damage from the collision.
