Tyler – Tammy Mahon Died Following Chandler Hwy Collision

The Tyler Police Department has named the victim who died in a fatal car crash on Chandler Highway last week, January 30th.
The fatality was identified as Tammy Jo Mahon, 48, of Chandler, according to the police.
At approximately 4:35 p.m., police responded to the 4700 block of Chandler Highway to assist in a collision involving a pickup truck. Initial investigation shows that a pickup truck was heading west when it collided with another vehicle going in the same direction. The impact pushed the truck off the roadway, ejecting Mahon in the process. She suffered significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Area investigators were requested at the scene to determine why the two vehicles crashed. No charges have been filed as of this writing.
