Tyler—Rear-end Collision on Loop 323

The Tyler Police Department is conducting an investigation about a car accident on Loop 323 in Tyler by Highway 271, Friday.
According to police, a vehicle was traveling along the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it rear-ended a semi. The impact of the collision knocked the driver of the first vehicle unconscious. Emergency crews performed CPR on the victim and transferred him to an area hospital for further care. He was only identified as a 62-year-old man.
No other injuries were reported at this time.
Local investigators arrived at the scene to determine what caused the accident.
