Tyler – Police Hospitalized in Texas College Rd Crash

A police detective was taken to the hospital after getting into a collision on Texas College Road last Wednesday, February 19th.

At an unspecified time last Wednesday, Tyler local officials were dispatched to Texas College Rd in response to a call reporting a vehicle accident. The circumstances leading up to the accident remain unclear at this time but responding officers confirmed that a police detective was involved and suffered from various injuries. He was taken to the hospital where he was listed in unknown condition. Emergency crews withheld the officer’s identity until his next of kin has been notified.

No one else was injured.

Whether or not another vehicle was involved is yet to be determined. The Tyler Police Department is conducting an investigation.
