Tyler County- Woman Died in Vehicle Crash on US 190

A fatal auto crash on Highway 190 resulted in the death of one woman in Tyler County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Thursday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 4:00 p.m. on Highway 190 near Farm to Market Road 1746. Police said a 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck had been traveling along the eastbound lane when a 2004 Kia passenger car suddenly drove into its path, resulting in a crash. Both vehicles ended up in the middle of the roadway. Based on the initial investigation, the Kia was stopped at the cross street and failed to yield the right of way to the pickup truck.
The driver of the Kia, identified only as a woman from Onalaska, Texas, sustained significant injuries as a result of the crash. She was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Ken Jobe at the scene. Her passenger was rushed to a hospital but refused medical treatment.
No identification has been released.
