Tyler County – Auto Crash on FM 1006 Leaves 1 Killed, 1 Injured

A vehicle collision on Farm to Market Road 1006 resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another, Wednesday morning.

At around 5:30 a.m., Texas DPS troopers responded to FM 1006 near US Highway 87 to assist in a collision between two vehicles. According to the report, an undescribed car was along FM 1006 when it went out of control and drove into the path of another vehicle. The impact of the crash seriously injured both drivers of the vehicles. They were taken to the hospital where one of them was pronounced deceased at the scene. Responding authorities identified the fatality was 18-year-0ld Anthony Palomo. The second driver remains unidentified at this time.

Tyler County local officials are still investigating the factors that caused Palomo to lose control of the car.

No one else was injured.
