Tyler – 1 Injured on Texas 323

At least one person was hospitalized following a car accident on Texas 323, Monday afternoon.

Just after 4:00 p.m., Tyler local officials responded to Texas 323 after receiving a report of a collision. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that a sedan and a minivan, for yet unknown reasons, collided with each other. The force of the impact trapped one occupant in one of the vehicles. He was extricated with the help of local paramedics and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The extent of his injuries was not immediately disclosed.

No identification has been released.

The Tyler Police Department has yet to determine the cause of the accident or factors that may have contributed to the case. An investigation is underway.
