Two women killed in head-on crash on SH-242 in Montgomery County

THE WOODLANDS, TX – Two women were killed in a head-on crash at a construction site on State Highway 242 in Montgomery County yesterday evening, according to KTRK.
The crash happened on SH-242 near Stonecrest Drive and the San Jacinto River Bridge at around 5 p.m., when a driver of an eastbound Jaguar, a 36-year-old woman, crashed into a concrete wall. The impact sent her into the opposite lanes in a construction zone, where she crashed head-on with a Scion.
Authorities extricated the driver of the Jaguar from her vehicle and attempted CPR for about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead after the collision.
The river of the Scion, a 29-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time.
