HOUSTON, TX – Two people were hospitalized with severe injuries following a collision outside a Houston Fire Station early this morning, according to KTRK.
The crash happened in the 10500 block of S. Main Street at about 12:30 a.m., as a Chevrolet Impala was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The Impala collided with a second vehicle, then fled the scene. The impact caused the second vehicle to collide with a utility pole, which then fell on top of the vehicle, causing it to break in half.
Two people were pulled from the wreckage of the crash, then taken to the hospital with critical, life-threatening wounds.
A traffic signal was knocked out during the crash.
