Two killed in wrong-way collision on North Fwy near downtown Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Two people died early Sunday after a multi-vehicle accident involving a wrong-way driver on the North Freeway near downtown Houston, according to Houston Chronicle.
Authorities said the collision took place just north of the Downtown area at around 12:35 a.m.
According to Houston Police Department, a black Dodge Charger was traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 45 and collided with two oncoming vehicles.
Two victims in one vehicle, a man and a woman, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The causing driver and the driver of the third vehicle were transported a nearby hospital. The severity of their condition was not disclosed, but authorities said they are expected to survive.
No other details have been released at this time, but an investigation was in progress.
