HARRIS COUNTY, TX — Two children and two adults were hospitalized Tuesday morning after a crash involving a Katy ISD school bus and a METRO bus in east Katy, according to Click2Houston.
Harris County Precinct 5, Katy ISD police, and EMS responded to the scene at the intersection of Kingsland Boulevard and Pickford Drive, near West Memorial Junior High, at about 7:00 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but authorities confirmed one adult attendant on the school bus was airlifted to an area hospital.
Two of the five students who were on board the bus suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The driver of the Park & Rider METRO bus was also transported by ambulance, though the extent of their injuries was unclear.
METRO said no passengers were on the Park & Ride bus at the time.
According to Katy ISD, the other three students were either released to their guardians or taken to their campuses via another bus.
