Two injured, one missing in Galveston Causeway crash

GALVESTON, TX – One person is missing and two others are in the hospital following a single-vehicle accident on the Galveston Causeway Sunday night, the Houston Chronicle reports.
A Jeep collided with the outbound causeway’s guardrail near the Tiki Island exit at 8:15 p.m. yesterday. Two passengers and a dog were thrown from the vehicle and were later retrieved by emergency responders. The passengers were taken to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle is still missing. The Galveston Island Beach Patrol, Galveston Police Department Marine/Dive Team and the United States Coast Guard are continuing to search the area.
