Truck driver killed after colliding with train in Huffman

HUFFMAN, TX – A semi-truck driver died after colliding with a train at a busy railroad crossing in northeast Harris County this morning.
According to a report by ABC 13, the crash took place at the railroad crossing near FM-2100 and FM-1960 at about 7 a.m.
Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s office say the cap of the semi was stopped on the tracks when the train struck it. The force of the impact pushed the truck nearly 30 feet down the tracks.
The driver in the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hazmat crews worked at the scene for some time afterward clearing the wreckage and spilled fuel.
