Travis County – Several Injured in Two-Car Crash on US 290

A major collision on US Highway 290 East sent five people to the hospital, including children, according to a local news source, March 25th.

Police responded to the intersection of US 290 and Old Kimbro Road after they received a call reporting a crash at around 1:30 p.m. A vehicle was waiting for its green signal at the intersection when a truck struck its rear side. The impact injured five children occupying the vehicle. They were all taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center with undisclosed injuries. Another adult occupant was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment. It was not confirmed if he was the one operating the car.

No information was provided about the driver of the truck.

The crash is still under investigation.
