Train fatally strikes pedestrian in NW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in northwest Houston early yesterday morning, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Police were called to the 14600 block of Hempstead Road at about 3 a.m. on January 2. The pedestrian was dead when they arrived.
Little else is known at this time, although investigations are ongoing.
