Three hospitalized after multi-car crash on Eastex Fwy in NE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — Three people were injured, two seriously, Saturday night after a major collision on the Eastex Freeway near Houston’s Frenchtown neighborhood, reports Houston Chronicle.

Houston police said the accident happened on the outbound lanes near Collingsworth Street at around 11:00 p.m.

Little information has been disclosed, but three vehicles were involved and heavy rain is believed to have contributed.

Authorities said at least two of the three victims suffered injuries requiring limb amputations.

An investigation remains in progress.
