Texas City – Man Killed in Texas 146 Crash Identified

Texas City local officials have identified the driver who died in a fatal car accident on Texas Highway 146 near Farm to Market Road 1765, last Thursday.

The fatality was identified as Fabian Garnica.

According to initial reports, Fabian Garnica was seen driving a vehicle along Hwy 164 when, for yet unknown reasons, he lost control of the car, left the roadway, and crashed into a pole. When Garnica tried to step out of his vehicle, he was then electrocuted. Meanwhile, his passenger sustained minor injuries and was given medical treatment by emergency crews. She was identified as Destiny Wallace.

Area investigators are still determining the reason that caused Garnica to lose control of the car. Anyone who has information relevant to the case should get in contact with local authorities.
