Texarkana – Woman Died in Two-Car Crash on South Cowhorn Creek Loop

A 64-year-old woman was killed after getting involved in a rear-end crash on South Cowhorn Creek Loop, Friday night.
At around 8:00 p.m., police responded to South Cowhorn Creek Loop near a commercial establishment following reports of a crash. According to the report, a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was heading north when, for yet unknown reasons, it crashed into the back of another vehicle, described as a Chevrolet Equinox. Police said the driver of the Equinox was attempting to make a turn towards the establishment’s parking lot.
The impact of the collision left the driver of the Equinox with injuries. Authorities identified her as a 36-year-old Texarkana female driver. Meanwhile, the driver of the Cavalier, identified as a 64-year-old Texarkana woman, was rushed to St. Michael Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
