Terrell – Big Rig Collision on State Highway 34 Killed Driver

A fatal big-rig collision on State Highway 34 caused the death of one person, Friday morning.

At around 9:25 a.m., an auto crash was reported on SH 34 just north of Farm to Market Road 235. According to the report, a Ford F-150 was seen heading south on the highway when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it veered onto the opposing traffic and crashed into an oncoming 18-wheeler truck. The force of the impact killed the driver of the pickup instantly. His identification was not immediately released by local authorities.

Fortunately, the driver of the 18-wheeler truck did not sustain any injury. His identity has not been released.

Area investigators were requested at the scene to determine the reason why the pickup driver moved into the northbound lanes. No other details are available at this time.
