Terrell – ATV Collision on CR 255 Leaves 1 Dead

A major crash involving an all-terrain vehicle resulted in the death of one person, according to a local news source.
Police said the incident took place in the 16000 block of County Road 255 he Poetry-area of northern Kaufman County on Sunday night. Just after 6:00 p.m., a side-by-side terrain vehicle was heading northwest on CR 255 when it drifted to the left and landed on a side skid. DPS troopers said the ATV rolled over before coming to rest. As a result, a passenger in the ATV was fatally injured and died at the scene. He was only identified as a male in his early 20s. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was not hurt. His name was not yet released.
The Terrell Volunteer Fire Department, CareFlite, Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene.
