Temple – Man Died in Auto Collision on South 57th St

A 27-year-old man was killed after a fatal motorcycle collision on South 58th Street in Temple, Saturday afternoon.

Just after 2:00 p.m., police were dispatched to 900 block of S 57th St after they received a call reporting an accident. Initial reports show that a motorcycle was traveling along the roadway when its operator lost control of the bike and crashed. The force of the impact left the rider with serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased by Temple responding authorities.

The victim was later identified as 27-year-old Devon James Tomme-Juergens.

No other vehicles were involved, as per reports.

Temple police have yet to determine why Tomme-Juergen lost control of his motorcycle. Anyone who has information relevant to the case is encouraged to get in contact with local authorities.
