Teen jumps off flyover ramp after crash in north Houston

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police say a teen driver fell to her death early this morning when she jumped off a freeway overpass following a single-vehicle collision.

According to a report by WOAI, officers responded to reports of a crash along the Sam Houston Parkway at I-45 shortly after midnight.

They arrived to discover a single vehicle crashed on the freeway, and the victim deceased on the road below.

Witnesses told police the driver exited her vehicle after the crash and seemed very disoriented. She then ran away from the car and jumped over the barrier, falling to her death. Police believe she may have been trying to exit the roadway and did not realize how far from the ground she was.
